Reporting any defects of FF equipment to Captain, Staff captain and/or Chief Engineer in ensuring repairs by suitable mechanics. Assisting shore-side technicians around the vessel. Duty Officer of the watch 04-08 and/or 16-20 as assigned. Conduct of and compliance with BRM functions as assigned by Master.

    Main Tasks: Shipyard start up of Costa Toscana in Meyer Turku Finland Performs arrival and departure manoeuvres under Captains supervision. Appointed “Voyage Planning Officer (VPO)” and responsible of the Voyage Planning procedure Prepares and files the portfolios utilised for VP and Port briefings/ debriefings, assisted by checking officer. Studies and prepares the cruise itinerary plans following the requests from the Master and Marine & Nautical Operations Dept. Responsible for bridge equipment. Reports to Master and Staff Captain possible issues in order to request repair assistance. Keeps the Bridge equipment technical intervention log. Stability calculations following the instructions of the Staff Captain, for ballast movements and fresh water consumptions; Management of filling up and maintenance of Ballast Register, Tanks Daily situation, Potable Water Consumption daily and monthly reports. In charge for daily and weekly tank Soundings Report and Register. Collaborate with Staff Captain for the maintenance and inspections of ballast, fresh water and cofferdam tanks. Send notices of arrival, ETA and ETD to Ports Authority and Ports agencies.
